We’ve been having tricky times on crypto market, but that’s not a reason to slow down with expansion of our protocol. Another peace of puzzle is about to launch, let us introduce you the $ORBITAL, 1:1 pegged asset to the very Bitcoin that is going to be launched on 4th of June 2022.
What is $ORBITAL
As mentioned above $ORBITAL is another pegged asset in our ecosystem that is pegged to the price of 1 $BTC via seigniorage.
There is no need to introduce $BTC, the father of cryptocurrencies. Just imagine you can use your Bitcoin to earn solid yield, provide liquidity with no or just a small impermament loss and open the possibility of decentralized trading on Aurora. Orbital will be part of our smart routing concept (as written in this medium post).
The Launch of $ORBITAL
We will launch the $ORBITAL on 4th of June 2022 at 14:00 UTC with liquidity mining via Genesis pools. Holders of Bitcoin, our Liquidity Providers and Stakers of $SPOLAR will be able to mint $ORBITAL for 24 hours.
Before the launch we will seed the initial liquidity with 1$BTC and 1$ORBITAL, i.e. in pool the initial liquidity will be approx $ 60k, so you will be able to trade orbital after we deploy the contracts.
Via genesis pools investors will be able to mint $ORBITAL and later provide liquidity in $BTC/$ORBITAL LP and farm $SPOLAR as we already know from our other assets.
Genesis pools will be opened for this assets.
$wBTC> 50% Allocation of $ORBITAL (1% deposit fee -> will be sent to DAO for liquidity)
50% of allocation of $ORBITAL will be proportionally divided to

at 16:00 UTC on the very same date we will open LP $BTC / $ORBITAL and you will be able to start farming $SPOLAR.
Genesis pools will end on 5th of June 2022 at 14:00 UTC and “$ORBITAL Sunrise” staking will start at the very same moment.
