He’s basically right on the number — between February 2010 and January 2016, the number of private-sector jobs rose from 107.3 million to 121.3 million, an increase of almost exactly 14 million. That said, he’s cherry picking the most favorable number. If you also count the decline in local, state and federal government jobs during that period, the bottom-line figure would be 444,000 jobs smaller.
