After senior leaders, party workers express their resentment against Captain
“It is not only the senior party leaders who are fed up with state leadership in Punjab but the party workers at the cadre have also started raising their voice against Captain Amarinder Singh.”
Contesting his fifth elections Punjab chief, Captain Amarinder Singh has already decided to hang his boots after the upcoming assembly polls early next year. Leaving no stone unturned to wrest power from ruling SAD-BJP government, Captain is trying hard to maintain discipline and keep party workers united. But in a party where indiscipline runs from top to bottom, Captain has uphill task ahead of him. Moreover Captain himself has been the cause of indiscipline in the party.
Unruly party workers welcome captain
At a recent meeting in Ludhiana with party’s rural and urban party workers, Captain Amarinder Singh was left aghast by the unruly behavior of party workers. Party workers created a ruckus that made Captain fume with anger. Captain went to Ludhiana with an aim to unite the party workers ahead of assembly polls and galvanize the party for the big battle ahead. But perhaps indiscipline is engraved deep into the ethos of party and Captain had invited trouble himself by yelling about discipline in the party.
Party workers show mirror to Captain
When Captain Amarinder Singh told party workers to maintain peace and stay united for the common cause of reining power in the upcoming assembly polls in Punjab. But instead of getting inspired by the word of PPCC president, party workers at Ludhiana countered him back and advised him to go an teach MLAs of the party. One of the party workers asked Captain Amarinder Singh to first tell party MLAs to stand united with party workers.
