Indiscipline in the party cadre, factionalism and rising differences with party leadership has severely affected the functioning the Congress party. It has reduced to a party with as many voices as the number of senior leaders.

One after another senior Congress leaders are rising up in arms against the state leadership of party. While senior Congress leader, Bir Davinder Singh termed Captain as ‘inaccessible’ Jagmeet Brar slammed Captain for fighting a losing battle and went on record to state that Congress will lose the assembly polls under Captain’s leadership. While captain Amarinder ensured that both senior leaders were ousted from the party, he made a very remark of terming those as isolated cases of indiscipline.
Captain on a defensive stance

Captain went on to defend the indiscipline within the party by stating that the difference of opinion is a healthy democratic tradition within Congress and there is nothing wrong or serious about it. Captain Amarinder said that taking action in accordance with the principle of zero tolerance towards indiscipline, two party leaders had been suspended. He went on to state these incidents would have no bearing on the functioning of congress party and all the stakeholders within party are working towards achieving the common goal.

Contrary to captain Amarinder’s claims of unity in the party recently held two meeting with party office bearers in Jullandhar turned an ugly side with party cadre workers agitating against the party leadership and eventually they all walked out of the meeting on both the occasions.
