Congress Initiated Door-to-Door Campaign, just like AAP!

Following the footsteps of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Punjab Congress party initiated a door-to-door campaign to woo the voters.

Citing the AAP’s efforts to reach out the masses at the ground level to strengthen its base in Punjab, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Captain Amarinder Singh accepted that to regain the power in the state, the Congress workers need to move door-to-door and village-to-village to stimulate the voters.

In a rally at Sultanpur Lodhi, Kapurthala; Amarinder Singh was quoted as saying, “These topiwalas are going door-to-door and village to village to meet voters and the congress could also win if the workers resort to the same strategy. It will strengthen our party base at the grassroots level and it will be in the interest of Punjab as well.”

The rally was pulled in discussing the current situation and next plans or programs to be followed by party in due course. Hundreds of workers hailed down to attend the meeting.

The Congress Chief was also cautioned by few of the workers about the rising infighting within the party which is eroding the base of the party in the state. The party workers even highlighted the lack of social-media presence to which Chief told that he is very much active on the social platform.

Also, the matter of Tejpreet Singh Peter was discussed who has been expelled from the party recently. He was alleged as anti-party activist. Amarinder’s media adviser Vimal Sumbly said Peter had targeted the ex-CM with the intention of defaming him.

Out of the power of 10 years now, the party hopes the campaign to score camaraderie with Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh. The target is to attract young voters.

Confined in a tiff triangular fight in the Assembly Polls due next year, the Congress party hopes to counter the Aam Aadmi Party’s growing popularity. On the other side, the opposition finds the Congress as the weakest link among all three major parties on the board. Congress is no match to anyone. There is no such contest with them.

Congress itself ruined its image in the public. Their own people wrenched the party with their ugly thoughts and tricks. The nepotism engulfed the party too. Everyone gives each other a dubious look. Dragging or pulling off the fellow members is the strategy followed to reach the top!
