Hiring of Strategist Prashant Kishore to make strategies and lead the Congress party in terms for the upcoming elections in 2017 seems not so helpful for Congress Punjab as their history still overshadows their present.

Congress did not miss a chance and invited S. Navjot Singh Sidhu, the moment he gave his resignation from the Rajya Sabha. It seemed as if Congress was waiting for this opportunity and wanted to grab it at any cost as they tried for the three times to convince them. But destiny has some other plans and Mr. Sidhu showed no interest in joining the Congress party. After that, Captain Amarinder Singh said that their focus is to invite Pargat Singh, Ex SAD-BJP member and not Mr. Sidhu. On the other hand, Congress despite of their numerous tries could not solve their internal conflicts and Jagmeet Singh Brar got expelled from the party. His harsh tweets about the Captain Amarinder Singh and Congress party did not go well with Congress and high command authorities so he had to leave the party.

Days before, Congress made headlines by appointing Kamal Nath accused of ’84 Anti-Sikh riots as the general secretary of Punjab Congress. Punjabis were not ready to welcome him in Punjab at any cost and therefore Congress faced strong opposition from the local people. Soon after, Kamal Nath was replaced by Asha Kumari, who has not so “clean background” as well. She is out of jail on bail in the land grabbing case.

The series of hush-hush decisions taken by this party showed their lack of strategy and direction. It seems as if they are trying to connect the dots but all in wrong way. Let’s see which of the above mentioned incidents becomes the reason of their defeat in this electoral battle.
