JNU Row: Anti-National Congress behests for Anti-National People!

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) issue is the most trending term buzzing all around the digital, electronic and print media. The controversy surfaced from a gathering at university in New Delhi on February 9, which was accosted to commemorate the 2013 hanging of Afzal Guru who was convicted for the attack on India’s Parliament in 2001.

A video recording of the event displayed the troop of people screeching some objectionable slogans what reads as ‘We will continue to fight until Kashmir is freed. We will fight until India’s destruction.’

The demonstration turns into an ugly spat when the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, pelted into a politically-charged issue after PM Narendra Modi’s ministers criticized the meeting as ‘anti-national’ and pledged to take the legal action against those involved in the matter.

Police make the arrest of Kanhaiya Kumar, who leads the JNU students’ Union, on allegation of sedition (violation). The sedition law in India falls under Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code. It outlaws a person who “brings or attempts to bring into hatred or contempt, or excites or attempts to excite disaffection towards the government.” The maximum punishment given under the law is life imprisonment.

Where on one side the entire nation condemns the anti-national act undertaken by JNU students, the Congressmen and specifically Vice President of Congress Rahul Gandhi, voice out their opinion in its favor. It is nothing less than backing up India’s fierce Naxal movement and Kashmir’s separatist demands.

Raising the score on the row, the Congress seeks President Pranab Mukherjee’s interference to check the state of lawlessness and degradation of democratic rights.

Rahul Gandhi & Congress delegation after meeting President

Rahul Gandhi, who led the team of party leaders to the President, said the RSS is imposing a flawed and dead ideology on students. He accused the Govt. of dejecting democratic freedom and tampering voices. The Congress stands by JNU students for their anti-national antic.

Kanhaiya Kumar has been under police remand since then. Congressmen continuously asking for his bail out! But the point is as JNU students provoking the anti-national sentiments across the nation, why Congress extends their support to them. It made clear that anti-national Congress supports the anti-national people. They together are trying to hamper the peace of the nation while instigating naxalism across India.

We stand against Congress for such ferocious attempts. There is no room for any sort of anti-national elements in the nation.
