No Scope of Discipline in Punjab Congress!

After implementing so many programs, projects and efforts in bringing the sense of belongingness and disciplines in Punjab Congress party, PPCC chief Captain Amarinder Singh failed to deliver the desired results.

The (as always) over-confident Captain Amarinder Singh himself admitted to rising infighting in the party. The event organized in Ludhiana, was to bring the party leaders together and provide the solutions to the rising grievances among them.

Everything turned chaotic when party leaders turn hostile and started blaming each other. The groupism in the party becomes the cause of worry for the Punjab Congress when less than a year is left for the upcoming elections. The situation goes crazy when leaders started snatching the mike from one another’s hand to put their words forth to Captain.

The atmosphere turned unruly that Captain Amarinder Singh has to repeatedly ask party workers to remain silent and maintain discipline. He told to his jostling workers, “I will not go ahead (with my opinions) till you people sit”.

The Congress party has 130 years of history; it’s the party that played a vital role in the nation’s freedom. It is really disappointing (err…. funny too) watching the grand old party’s workers behaving so low and ill-mannerly. The party workers were also vocal about their grouses related to some party legislatures and top management.

The youngsters at ‘Coffee with Captain’ event found themselves cheated and insulted. They accused the event management company of ‘managing’ (or manipulating) the event. They alleged that they were not allowed to ask the questions while some pre-framed questions were allowed to ask.

It was also alleged that when the questions and complaints of party workers would get a little too uneasy for the Congress leaders, the mike given would fall silent.

Captain Amarinder always talks about his discipline policies, but seems his party workers are in no mind to follow the same. Even few of the old timers raised concerns that they were not being accorded due respect by the top management of the party unit in the district as they were never been invited for the Congress rallies and other events.

In short it has been rightly said that Congress will defeat Congress as they are playing individual game. So much has been said, so much has been anticipated but in the end the win would come to those who deserve the best!
