The Staff of Pop into Putney

Well it seems the heat wave is upon us and Summer is in full swing and I am not going to whinge about how it is too hot! As we know we Brits are never happier then when we are moaning about the weather but I am all for embracing the omnipresent Vitamin D and as we know it wont last!!

I can be frequently heard chatting away to Mikey the mug and Larry the lamp whilst my four legged assistant or better known as my pawsonal assistant Lillie gives me an often worrying rye glance at my latest idea, angle or spin on Putney. Chatting to Larry has since been replaced in recent days to chatting to Haley the hydrangea as I decamp my office into the garden, despite loving the flexibility of working form home and being my own boss I do miss the interaction of an office and having ‘work colleagues’ that can actually talk back and share the gossip. So I have to go and find my inspiration, gossip and interaction; there is no substitute for getting out from behind the laptop, limbering the limbs and popping into Putney. The interaction to get the little grey cells working is fed on the lifeline of cafes, pubs/bars, activities, classes, galleries, retail therapy, culture, parks and river walks of our pocket of Putney and all the characters and friends you come across on the way.

So having strolled through the park on Putney Bridge Road, taken in life on the waterways, enjoyed a caffeine hit at the Dynamo Café and admired the window of the a local artgallery on Lower Richmond Road, chatted about the latest facial at noah’s, and tittered at the latest Cartoon Café offering, I struggle to decide on my favourites….and so the seed of the idea I have been running by my team (Larry the lamp, HHaley the hydrangea, Lillie the Jackrussel and Mikey the Mug,) take root.

I would love it if you told me what your favourites reasons to pop into Putney. It might be that café who always remember you like the extra shot in your coffee, the art gallery owner that is happy to share their experiences of seeking out the latest artist, or the shop owner that just ‘knows’ exactly what you are looking for and someties something that you didn’t realist you were looking for. The theatres, cinema might be your muse, or thinking time strolling through the common or the restaurant that you always meet up with the girls…..

I am going to be sharing some of my favorites with you over the next 5 weeks and would love you to let me know if you agree by sharing/quoting #TopofthePIPS2017. And we will keep a tally and share our findings with you of your the Top reasons to PopIntoPutney
