Irish syndicate celebrating EuroMillions lottery win
The staff from Analog Devices, based on the Raheen Industrial Park, in County Limerick, picked up €32,812 with a winning ticket from the EuroMillions last month.
The Shift 5 syndicate purchased their lucky ticket from Clarecastle, matching five numbers in the November 24th draw.
The 48 lottery syndicate members have been playing National Lottery games for years.
A Pop-u-Lotto spokesperson commented; “We see a lot of syndicates picking up winning lottery tickets. A group of colleagues pitching in together — whether it’s from the office, sports club, or even a group of friends — can generate great camaraderie among a collective. The anticipation of the lottery draw, and the inevitable ‘what would you do if our numbers come in’ conversation add a bit a colour to an average day. We find it helps with team spirit, concentration and gives people a chance to chat about a subject that could benefit them all.”
“We have seen syndicates of a hundred-plus people all contributing each week. A group recently collected over £1m on EuroMillions in a run syndicate that included the organiser, his neighbours, wife, sisters, golf friends, school friends, friends of friends and family of friends. A real mixture of people all chipping in together. Some people didn’t even know each other but they are planning to celebrate with an appropriate gathering!”
