Someone is smiling down on this lottery winner
Acting on a tip from the ‘Holy Spirit’, a businessman from the Marinduque province –
A small island in Tayabas Bay — collected the P2l2m jackpot in the Super Lotto 6/49 draw on December 13th.
The father of four was the sole player and picked his winning lottery number combination of 05, 08, 10, 13, 15 and 33 to take home the P212,502,832 big prize, just over £3m.
Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) have disclosed the lucky player has been an avid lotto player for 19 years and when he claimed his prize at the PCSO’s head office in Mandaluyong City, he said that the lucky lottery number combination was relayed to him ‘by the Holy Spirit’ — in a dream.
As he has become a multi-millionaire through divine intercession, the anonymous 58-year-old lottery winner has stated he will donate a portion of his prize to his church.
He also added he and his wife also intend to use his lottery winnings to help their machine parts business. They will save the rest for their children’s futures.
The Super Lotto 6/49 has a minimum guaranteed jackpot prize of P16m and grew to more than P212m after no-one got the winning lottery number combination — in the last 43 draws! The run started all the way back in September.
The PCSO is to suspend lottery draws and the selling of tickets on December 25th and January 1st 2016 in order to properly observe the importance of the time of year, and to allow the agency’s employees to spend time with their families over the season.
