Letter to my mom

To my mom,

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry I've let you down in do many ways.

I abandoned the faith you treasure more than life itself.

I'm sorry I got divorced and because of your immense empathy unintentionally caused you so much pain.

I'm sorry I've forgotten who you used to be. And that all I remember is this shell of the strongest woman I've ever known.

I'm sorry it took me so long to stand up for you. That in silence I let dad be dad. I wonder what your life would look like today if I had been more of a man.

I'm sorry you don't get to see to your granddaughter as often as you would like and I'm sorry she will never know the real you.

Mom, I'm sorry you'll never read this because you can't read Any more.

I'm sorry I'm not the writer you were and that you never wrote your book.

I wish I had been a better son. I wish I could fix your mind.

I'm sorry you will never get to see my new baby grow up.

I can't fix you.

And I'm so so sorry.
