“In 2012 I undertook an entrepreneurial endeavor. To do so, I had to work during the day and thus took a job in a restaurant so I could work at night and still have my days free to pursue my business venture. I quickly discovered that working in one of Portland’s most popular positions of employment, I would no longer be able to afford the rent required to live in Portland. I’ve since moved to New Gloucester and so has my business. I have noticed a fair amount of other folks moving to the Gray/New Goucester area as well- maybe it’ll be the next Brooklyn;)” — David Muise, owner of Certine, Toughened Ceramic Flatware.
