A misty workday morning with an unexpected twist
Misty mornings are always bliss, I guess at least ;) and my car is having a fun time too!
7 AM, Kochi, Kerala
A t least some parts of Kochi are filled with fog/mist in the morning. The cool breeze cuddled me and I stayed on the balcony for quite a while.
I rushed to the kitchen and kept water for the black tea. Meanwhile, I took a sip of warm water with ginger and a squeeze of lemon to tell the tummy to prepare for a whole day of digestion job.
I grabbed a cup of black tea and was chilling on my balcony, browsing through social media on my cell phone (though I know the cellphone blue light is draining out my morning energy), I can hear my wife calling out to the kitchen.
My Twinings tea bag stock is finished; otherwise, I would love to start my mornings with a sip of Twinings Earl Grey, Pure Camomile Herbal Tea, or Darjeeling Black Tea.
Well, we men are wired at least after marriage to make sure yelling doesn’t reach the head. All Men, Unite! Okay, Back to the kitchen finally, guess who’s staring at me furiously?
Helped her with the morning breakfast and lunch preparation and other household chores.
A quick breakfast, bread and butter with orange marmalade jam spread with a quickie poached egg.
Took a quick bath, screened the newspaper and got ready for work. The office is hardly 2 km from home, but traffic at peak morning time is quite jumbled and everybody knows how to mess up on the road. Narrow roads in Kerala, take a toll on everybody.
The road is quite a steep descent, and the traffic slowly crawled down the road and suddenly stopped entirely. Why do only “hoomans” only have fun? I guess the car started thinking. Let’s have some fun.
My car started rolling down as if it was a free fall. omg! , I can hear my heartbeat. Thankfully traffic starts moving on, Phew!
Damn! I’m screwed, Again traffics slows to crawl, stopped entirely!, and the car is winking at me and like, “Repeat”…
Gotta goooo, Let me stoop the car! See you soon!
