How Quizlet Can Make Studying for Exams Easier?
With finals season approaching you might be looking for fun and interactive way to study course material. One tool that I found that helps me learn faster is Quizlet.
Quizlet is an online learning tool/platform that helps students learn materials via flashcards and various other interactive way to help student learn contents faster.
With over 100 million users-generated flashcards and 40 million monthly visitors as of November 2015, Quizlet has become one of the largest platform that helps students learn material faster. Quizlet was ranked one of the top 50 websites in the US in 2016 and was recognized by SimilarWeb as the fastest growing education site.
Here are some modes and games Quizlet offers
1. Flashcards
this feature works like paper flash card. This features shows card for each term and allows users to click to flop over the card to see the definition for the term and vise versa.
2. Gravity
This feature shows the screen where definition scroll vertically down the screen. Users have to type the word for the definition before it reaches the bottom of the screen. Users can also pick the lever of difficulty depending on their confidence of the material.
3. Learn
This feature gives users ability practice the material they’ve learned and quiz themselves. Users are shown a term or definition and have to fill out the missing information. After answering user get a feed back and see if their answers were correct or not. They can also override the automatic grading and counter the answer if they believe the grading system is wrong.
4. Long-term learning
This feature gives users study guide and recommendation based on the users answer to the study questions. Questions answered correctly or incorrectly on said topic increases or decreases learning progress over time. This feature uses spaced repetition on a topic to help students with long-term retention and subject mastery.
5. Speller
o This feature gives audio pronunciation of a term and the users have to spell it correctly. This helps expand user’s vocabulary and improve their spelling skills.
6. Match
This feature gives a grid with words scattered around it and users have to drag it and match it the correct definition.

Overall Quizlet was a fun and interactive way to learn materials for a course. I don’t recommend completely replacing your studying with Quizlet but this could be a great add ons to your studying tools to help you get a deeper understanding of a topic.
