3 Strategies Proven to Grow Your Twitter
Growing a Twitter account can be difficult and time consuming, a lot of us have experienced this. Even after putting in the time you may find that your time didn’t pay off too well based on how many followers you gained. Or maybe you had a good turnout but find that these aren’t the followers that are interested in your brand or industry.

There are many free Twitter growth tools you can use to slim down exactly what audience you want to target. A popular tool that we like to use is ManageFlitter. Although there is a daily limit of about 50–100 follows/unfolllows a day they still let you search for keywords, location, username, follower/following ratio, the amount of Tweets etc.
An approach that we take is, just say you own a workout gym or are in the fitness industry, we would search for the keyword(s) “fitness”, “eating healthy” or just say “working out”. This will show you a ton of accounts who use those words in their bio. To slim down the audience even more and make sure these people will follow you back, you want to set the max followers to just say 150, and the minimum amount of how many people following them would be 300. This means that any follower they get has a great chance of following you back. If you had a fitness gym, just say in Florida, you could even make the location a certain town/city in Florida.
2. Keyword Search
Another method you can use which may be the most widely used in the industry would be to search keywords that are relative to your industry/business on Twitter. You can sort it by ‘Top Tweets’ or All Tweets’ and will be sure to find tons of people tweeting about a specific keyword. This process may take a little bit longer because you have to go down and manually click each person’s name and click follow but these will be very targeted and active users. Twitter will also have account suggestions with similar accounts in your industry where you can easily click follow, under the ‘Top Tweets’ section which are always relevant people.
3. Industry Leaders In Your Niche
Another method that we use that has been very effective is finding a large industry leader in your niche which will have a similar demographic. Go down their followers list and follow as many people as you can for a couple minutes. These people are already interested in the content they post, the industry, and the product/service they offer which will be very similar to yours. A lot of times we find that these large companies in your industry have been using similar Twitter tools, and already have followers that will follow you back.
