It would not be the first time the Republicans have succeeded in such a task. Jimmy Carter’s debate briefing book was stolen. The leak was timed in such a way to do the maximum damage to Clinton and the maximum help to Clinton.
Certainly the performance of the DNC is consistent with the presence of a Republican mole within its staff.
