Weddings at Prestwold

If you are looking for a venue that offers total exclusivity and a back-drop that you could only dream of, Prestwold Hall is an excellent first choice.

Prestwold has been used in a number of films and television programmes and because it is typically English in style and appearance, many individuals flock here for photo shoots. The family that currently owns Prestwold, go by the name of “Edward and Juliet Packe-Drury-Lowe”. Prestwold has been in their family for generations so they feel extremely proud and honoured that they are able to share this beautiful home with brides and grooms and their guests on such a memorable and special day.

If you choose to hold your special day at Prestwold, why not wow your guests, family and friends by arriving in a Helicopter: we have various landing sites available to you. Once you have made your grand entrance, you will either go on to have your ceremony in the Church of England Church which is situated in the Preswold estate, or you will say: “I do” in the library, where there is enough room for up to 150 guests. After the ceremony, you can let your hair down and enjoy your reception in either a Marquee (which will be located in our splendid and extensive gardens) or alternatively you will dance the night away inside the stately home itself.

To satisfy your hungry guests at the sit down wedding breakfast, you can start by offering them some tasty house selection canapés, bruschettas and mezze, “A La Carte” selection of four canapés and then a hearty choice of soups to follow. Once they have devoured their aperitif and first course, you will have a choice of offering them a main course which will have been taken from one of 11 options. If you have any vegetarian guests in the party, do not worry because we have a divine selection of starters and mains tasty enough for even your non-vegetarian guests to enjoy. We have some delicious deserts and meals perfect for those little ones too.

Once your guests’ appetites start to increase later on in the evening, why not surprise them by offering up good quality, fresh nibbles or if you prefer to offer something more substantial, why not get a hog-roast going. We have menus to suit all budgets here at Prestwold and we can even supply a variety of wedding cakes fit for every bride to be.

Quite often beautiful country wedding venues are not always placed in the most appropriate of areas making it difficult to reach, especially if you have guests that are travelling by plane or train.
