Falling Out, Falling Up

I can’t remember loving you.
I know it happened, but I just can’t recall the feeling.
I know that at one point,
you took the oxygen when you’d leave,
you placed rusty jagged chains upon my legs
You’d go and do your bidding and have me waiting for your return.
I can’t remember what it was that made you special.
What you did to make me cater to your flaws
What made me excuse the women and deceit
What gave you real estate in a heart so grand
What made me feel like I’d be nothing if I flee
I cannot fathom loving you anymore.
