They gave all they had to the fairies, wanting their son to be blessed with good looks, wealth, and a long life
And as he grew up everyone loved him
But his friends grew older. His parents grew older still
And his handsome face developed no line or wrinkle
Nor did the coins in his coffers dwindle
It came to pass his parents died
And his friends did too
And he remained, with his looks, wealth, and long long life
Why? he asked,Why?
