Write A 100-Word Story. Or… Reaching For The Stars

The stars twinkled high in the sky. The occasional darting light of a comet, streaking briefly for fame.

The little girl gazed up and up; wanting to live in the sky, wanting to be a star.

But everyone told her to keep her feet on the ground. “Stars aren’t for the likes of us.”

Still she kept on looking and hoping and wishing. A star was the only the thing that would truly satisfy her.

Until one day she hooked her little finger round the corner of a star. She floated up into the sky and was never seen again.
