George Orwell was a reactionary snitch who made a blacklist of leftists for the British government
Ben Norton

I don’t see a lot of people deifying Orwell himself.

There are plenty of schools of literary theory that detach the author himself from the work he created. I don’t admire Dostoevsky as a person, but I still find his writing compelling and brilliant.

His writing was prophetic beyond any other in his time. For that he deserves a good deal of respect. He seems to be quite anti-war in his later years. Why do you call him a neocon?
