Dick Jokes: Why I’m convinced Duterte is copying off the Trump playbook

Today’s note is possibly the last of my #DuterTrump series.

Trump and Duterte supporters seemed to have one thing in common: their candidate can do no wrong.

Trump jokes about Indian Call Center Employee (pandering to Delaware, home to a lot of credit card companies with call centers in India; Duterte jokes about sending a complaint to the Indian ambassador about 5–6 (usurious lending practices) — both were actually a hit for residents hit hard by tough economic times.

Trump supporters reportedly threaten Republican party leaders in Colorado; Duterte supporters reportedly threaten Visayan leaders. Trump mocks a journalist with a disability; Duterte rattles off a joke to a disabled senior citizen. Trump fanstasizes about having sex with his daughter Ivanka; Duterte calls his daughter a drama queen for claiming to have been raped (total bull, if you know anything about Sara). And many more to come and some more I haven’t mentioned.
