Profile Pigeons — Your ticket to our Metaverse
Earlier this month, we introduced our upcoming Solana project — Profile Pigeons!
This week, we wanted to focus more on the utility behind these Pigeons — see our previous article for all of the basics!
Beta Metaverse Access:
The most exciting thing (in my opinion) Profile Pigeon ownership will offer is exclusive access to our cross-platform Metaverse experiences!
Virtual Reality:
Following the download of our APK [which will require developer mode and a third party platform to download], users who own a Profile Pigeon will get access to a beta metaverse environment!
Here, they will be able to interact with us and other holders!
Augmented Reality:
After downloading our APK (or iOS build), holders can log in and load up the virtual environment on a flat plane. After doing so, they will be able to see the whole environment and speak to all other users (both across VR and AR)!
PC:
For those who don’t own a VR headset or don’t want to use a phone, we’re working on a PC application as well! By having all 3 platforms in place, we can maximise user preference (by allowing users to choose between immersion, accessibility and ability to bring the virtual world wherever you go).
We can then use these environments to run various events (virtual AMAs and whatever else the community is interested in) and test our environment before we begin to scale up!
Token Gating:
Now, you may be thinking — how can we limit (“token gate”) the access?
To enter our metaverse, users will need to link their wallet to our website (while your Solana wallet is needed for the metaverse, a Polygon wallet is needed for our current P2E games). By linking both your Polygon and Solana wallet (and other chains in the future), we can effectively begin cross-chain interactions (such as allowing SOL and Polygon NFTs to offer access to our virtual environments). You will also need to create an avatar — I recommend using our readyplayerme link ;)
Once you have connected your wallet, you will receive a unique code to access our applications (users who have downloaded our Eggsplorer Android APK will have seen this already). From there, you will be able to select the server (“Room”) to join! For the most part, there will only be one communal area right now, but we have plans for custom land in the pipeline.
Prior to entry, we can confirm that you own the Profile Pigeon (similar to how we check for NFTs in our P2E minigames) — if so, you will be allowed to enter an environment, and your Profile Pigeon NFT will be visible above your avatar!
While most users will share a communal area, we are in the process of searching for larger projects/DAOs who might be interested in a custom space for their community. If you are a part of a DAO who might find this interesting, please reach out to us via DM.
As you can see, a lot of this is already in working order. We don’t want to sell empty promises or “hype”, and are actively working on having this experience available as soon as possible to our holders! ❤
How to Join our Ecosystem
By holding our NFTs and playing their respective P2E games (Flappy Pigeon or Eggsplorer), or by being active in our Discord, you will be able to earn our utility token $VIVE. $VIVE can currently be used to purchase NFT Booster Packs, but will also have additional utilities both within and outside our metaverse experiences.
