Tower Defence Map Editor Release & Giveaway Announcement
Our Tower Defence Map Editor is live — and with it comes a brand new $VIVE giveaway!
Over the last few weeks, we’ve shown off some of our creations which were made through our custom-built generator. Now, you are able to join in the fun and put those Minecraft skills to the test!
How to run the Editor

How to build maps
By selecting any of the blocks on the right, you can place them into the scene (note, some do have a limited amount of the block you can place).
Try placing blocks on multiple levels, and test out different blocks and textures.
Grass blocks will be used to place towers on, so make sure to place plenty (or don’t, it depends how difficult of a map you would want to create).
Experiment with the different colours, textures and items available to create something incredible.
“Place Path” allows you to place nodes, which enemy AI will follow — aim to place these on the “Road_0” tiles to make a pathway!
To toggle the HUD, pressing the “F” key (this helps with taking great photos) and pressing “X” while having no item attached (click anywhere on the water) will remove blocks.
By pressing “Export level”, your map will be copied to your clipboard as JSON (JavaScript Object Notation). Pasting this into a wordpad or a text editor will reveal your map as code.

The first 100 valid entries (with a limit of 10 maps per person) will receive 50 $VIVE each. The top 3 of our favourite maps will receive an additional $VIVE prize.
By taking part, you are also happy for us to use some of these maps in our upcoming game! We thought this would be a fun and rewarding way to get some community involvement (and let you brag that your work is in a game).
