$VIVE Utility Explained

Over the last few weeks, we have been hard at work getting play-to-earn (P2E) enabled for Flappy Pigeon and Eggsplorer (formally known as ‘Egg Game’).

We are happy to say that after a successful week of testing, P2E was launched on Monday!

Since then, Pigeon and Egg holders have been able to earn $VIVE in their respective games, where owning multiple NFTs act as a multiplier. The total amount of our tokens distributed so far (at time of writing) is over 67,000. We have heard from players who have been able to earn over 1,000 $VIVE in a single day by owning multiple of our NFTs!

Now, for those unaware, you might be thinking “What the hell is $VIVE?”. I’ll tell you.

$VIVE is our utility token. In many languages, vive translates (loosely) to ‘live’, and our goal is to build a platform (or ecosystem) of games which can help our community feel ‘alive’, by taking advantage of cross-game and cross-metaverse NFTs.

$VIVE has multiple planned forms of utility, which will be discussed today. More examples and detail can also be found in our whitepaper.

NFT and in-game purchases:
$VIVE will be used to purchase NFTs for our upcoming Tower Defense and Trading Card games. We are still hard at work developing these NFTs, but they will be usable cross-game. The first wave of NFTs purchased will allow players to support the beta testing of our games, as the main way to generate $VIVE (up to this point) will be P2E. We want to reward our active players, and one way of doing so is to let them help us test newer games also!

Following this, $VIVE will still be used to purchase our later NFTs and more widespread releases. It will also be used to purchase other in-game items, whether they are cosmetics, land, or more.

$VIVE will also be used for any secondary sales on our platform.

Upgrading or breeding:
Upgrading or breeding are useful ways for players to access new (and often, better) NFTs to use in-game. It will even be possible for individuals to become “qualified breeders”, where they can hope to make a living by breeding NFTs for others! Think of a traditional dog breeder, but for NFTs.

Upgrading and breeding are mechanisms we want to make use of (although we may change the name of ‘breeding’, as in some instances it would not make sense), allowing users to exchange multiple copies of a common NFT to create a rarer one, etc. These transactions will also require $VIVE.

Liquidity pool support:
A liquidity pool is necessary for holders to exchange their $VIVE to different tokens (or for someone to purchase $VIVE), should they wish to. Doing so requires a ‘liquidity pool’, where individuals (or groups, such as ourselves) deposit equal value of one token (e.g. $VIVE) and another (e.g. USDT). Anyone can support a liquidity pool, assuming they hold both tokens, and doing so can lead to long-term returns (as you get a share of all transactions in return).

Staking:
We are committed to creating an ecosystem of active players. While traditional staking models may offer additional tokens at a fixed rate (‘APR’), we want people to stake their utility token as an opportunity to improve their gameplay experience. Benefits of staking may include unique roles, in-game discounts, NFT airdrops, and more.

Voting rights:
Owning $VIVE will allow you to vote within our DAO, to help guide decisions with the game (or platform) making process.

As you can see, we have a lot of plans for how $VIVE can be used within our ecosystem, and I’m sure we will think of more.

While we work towards the release of new games, NFTs, and ways to exchange $VIVE, make sure to take part in our P2E games and HODL.
