It is important we preserve our historic downtown

Over the years of serving you on council I have worked hard to redevelop and maintain our downtown. It is important we preserve Peoria’s unique character while still making much needed improvements. This is why I am urging the residents of Peoria to vote YES on Prop 400.

This proposal will fund improvements to preserve the historical charm downtown Peoria has to offer and preserve the standard of living South Peoria residents enjoy. It is equally important we focus on the growth of our city and look at ways to accommodate the Northern part of Peoria. With plans to preserve open space, create more access to recreational opportunities and increase our public safety, we are making positive efforts to advance our entire community.

I am honored to be on a council that is willing to work together and continue to meet the expectations of our residents. When the Citizen’s Ad Hoc Committee brought the proposed recommendations to us in July, there was a unanimous vote in favor. With Prop 400 we can plan for the future growth of our city and continue to move Peoria forward.

Please vote YES for 400 and YES for our excellent Quality of Life!
