We are relaunching our blog and in our inaugural post we wanted to talk about the goal of this blog and its purpose.

One of the main obstacles with our past blog was simply the difficulty of publishing. We focused on high quality posts but often that level of polish took way too long. However, our other social media platforms were concise and easier to publish but ineffective when we wanted to communicate more than a picture or 144 characters- a longer form medium was needed.

Ironically, Medium was the perfect blog platform that blended our need for a quick, lightweight platform while being flexible when needed. We will minimize the editing and revisions to preserve the frequency of our posts, albeit at the cost of a few typos and grammatical errors (forgive us in advance grammar nazis ☺).

In order to keep the blog current and relevant, we will frame our content around topics that we are passionate about which is typically coffee and community however by no means limited to such a dichotomy.

Lawrence and I (Dan), will be the main authors of this blog but I like the idea of guest bloggers in the future. Finally, if I haven’t been explicit enough, the goal of this blog is simply to communicate our passions in the context of Provision with more depth and soul. Our hope is that you can gain insight behind the motivations of Provision and not simply be a bystander but an active participant in the story.
