PROVOCO team explored Blockchain & Tech ecosystem in Berlin

Last week PROVOCO team had a great opportunity to attend two tech events in Berlin: C3 Crypto Conference and Berlin TechON festival.

Berlin is filled with amazing young and creative talents, entrepreneurs, investors & industry influencers. The city lifts you up as soon as you arrive, as you realize fast that its DNA is built upon the belief that the future is better than the past. That’s unique in Europe!

Crypto and Blockchain event C3 Crypto Conference which lasted 2 days in Berlin, emerged to a big crypto community in the Heart of Europe. C3 is the first and largest conference for cryptocurrencies and Blockchain offering keynotes, startup pitches, workshops and exhibitions to embrace the ecosystem of decentralization and cryptocurrencies.

Our team proudly presented PROVOCO, the world’s first social challenge network empowered by the blockchain. Our stand was quite busy and attracted many visitors.

A few impressions of the C3 crypto conference.

A very exciting panel discussion was on Entertainment & Blockchain — we had so much to say regarding this topic.

The number of successful Berlin startups working on the crypto projects recently acquired attention of the biggest German corporates like Volkswagen, Deutsche Telecom. “If cars are supposed to pay for charging or parking on their own, then you need a secure method,” says Johann Jurgwirth, Volkswagen`s chief digital officer, who thinks Iota (Blockchain for the Internet of things) Berlin based startup is “very interesting”.

Day 3 Berlin TechON festival

On the next day our business development advisor Tomas Navardauskas attended a Berlin TechON festival organised by GISMA Business School. The event auditory was filled with young tech entrepreneurs and academia working at GISMA.

Overall Berlin tech scene is growing fast. Driven by FinTech, e-health, e-commerce & SaaS, Berlin is about to see its first unicorns in Zalando, DeliveryHero, ResearchGate, SoundCloud, Babbel, Wunderlist.

The panel discussion by one of the most influential peoples in the Berlin tech (Mal Som, Mike Richardson, Mali Baum, Hugo Amsellem) covered the latest tech trends and ecosystem.

The festival comprised of an agenda with activities like hearing voices of the leading pioneers of the evolutionary industry, live pitch battles between Germany’s best upcoming startups/entrepreneurs, networking opportunities and workshops.
