What about being the primary educator in your child’s life? I’m not saying that you shouldn’t lean on the teachers at some point for educating your child, but for you already having an educator as a parent this seems out of whack. As a black male who attended a 90% black school in DC in the 90s then moved to a school to be one of 10 black males in an northern VA school, my mother taught me the importance of education not the school. If test scores are your primary gauge of how a school is working I think you may be wasting your hard earned money. I will say that there may be correlation but that doesn’t mean causation. I may be totally of base though and if so I apologize.
