That appears to be the nature of most humans. They actually don’t care unless it changes their little world. Most humans are selfish creatures concerned only for their immediate family and friends. They complain about how bad things are and do nothing to change them, they expect others to do it for them. How easily they give their power away for a quiet and mostly selfish life.

I used to belong to community groups who wanted to improve the area. Simple, doable things like getting a park, getting a crossing for kids, slowing traffic to safe levels, picking up litter and dog poo. Getting access to funds to spend locally. Lucky if we got 10 people to join us. The rest were probably shopping or watching the rot box, they certainly weren’t interested in improving their community although they were very quick to moan about lack of facilities.

Until the majority of humans evolve into more spiritual creatures and care about their local areas, they sure as hell aren’t going to care about the wider world.
