The Hurdles of the Little Broken Robots Game
(This is a continuation of part 1 of this article)
Little Broken Robots is not the most high-octane game as it pertains to the graphics. However, one could argue that that is the point. It is not meant to floor you with the graphics, but instead, grab your attention with the other attributes that this game has. The objective of the game is not complicated at all, but this does not mean it is easy. Part of this objective entails fitting wires on a circuit board. On every wire, you will see a number which represents a starting point. The numbers let the player know how many spaces that the wire should cover. These wires can be moved in the horizontal and vertical directions, but they cannot be moved in the diagonal directions. In order to cross these wires, the player would have to pass them through a junction first. (For more puzzle games, check out these fun teraminx puzzle cubes)
Another hurdle to overcome in the game is the group of microchip obstacles. The player will have to think outside the box a little bit to get through these challenges. Each board will have more than one possible solution. This helps to reduce the level of difficulty of the game. The game also has a hint system, and this will assist you through the process of placing the wires. Evidently, efforts were made to prevent the game from being too difficult to play.
The player can select one of three gameplay models, and these are Classic, Advanced, and Timed. Classic entails playing the game with circuit boards that have obstacles and no junctions. By the way, junctions are the points at which two or three wires may overlap. The number of dots shown on the junctions determines whether it is for two wires or three wires. Every one of the junction spots has to be filled with wires before the board can be cleared. Whereas in Advanced mode, junctions are included in gameplay.
