The field of mobile gaming is really thriving right now, and this comes with some drawbacks. One of them being that quantity may be drowning out quality, especially with regard to duplication of already successful games. This might seem to be the case with the newly released Uncharted: Fortune Hunter. Those who loved the Lara Croft Go puzzle game certainly might feel that way about this new Uncharted game. These two gaming titles have had their encounters in the realm of console gaming. It might be safe to argue that Uncharted was somewhat based on the success of the earlier versions of Lara Croft, and that the newer versions of Lara Croft were, in turn, somewhat based on the success of Uncharted.

Fortune Hunter will be a spin-off of the PS4 title — Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. It has been released for iPad and iPhone. It bears quite a resemblance to the Lara Croft Go game with respect to the puzzle gaming aspects and the graphic styles. However, it is a lot better than one would think. It is not just a clone of Lara Croft Go. It is a really formidable puzzle-oriented game. It is also a huge win that it does not have the limitation presented by freemium features.

Despite this game being more than somewhat of a clone, it is hard to imagine it existing in a world where there was no Lara Croft Go. The game is played as the familiar, Nathan Drake. Using Drake, the player has to find their way through environmental puzzles. One of the main objectives is to navigate your way through and around obstacles and challenges in the game. Some of these puzzle obstacles and challenges include the likes of firing turrets, shifting grounds, spikes, shadow hazes, and more. As with any puzzle-oriented game, a lot of mental effort has to be applied t succeed.
