Gonna have to reread this a few times to respond confidently to the main points, but I do have some quibbles. There’s a post on Scott Aaronson’s blog questioning the D-Wave speedup paper. Worth checking out (dunno if I can link things here). And, the article you linked about Moore’s Law is questionable when considering Moore’s own admission that he doesn’t see it continuing much longer, and Intel’s announcement that they’ve missed the mark the past two two-year cycles. The assumption of exponential advancement in mathematics and engineering seems to me to require justification or clearer acknowledgment.

It seems to me that a dialogue between you and Jaron Lanier on the topic of identity, surveillance, blockchain, digital economics, AI, etc would be most stimulating. You’re easier to find online so I’m bugging you about it first!
