Our seller engagement team had the opportunity to converse with Aderinsola for 5 minutes and here’s what we found about this student entrepreneur; “how she got started”, “what motivates her” and “her experience since selling on Qeturah

Qeturah: Tell us, who is Aderinsola?
Aderinsola: I am one of 5 children, and I am currently a final year student at the Lagos state polytechnic studying Biochemistry. I learned bead making during my undergraduate internship summer of 2015. I am a professional bead maker and trainer, and and I blog every now and again.

Qeturah: How did you get into this line of business
Aderinsola: During my summer internship in 2015, I was fortunate to find a colleague who taught me the craft of bead making, I guess I was struck by luck because ever since learning this craft that summer, I am now able to support myself in school and relieve my parents of my tuition fees and sustenance. I love it when people play dress up, and it makes me really glad when they’re adorned in EmpressTiana beads made with all my love and sweat.

Qeturah: What’s the number one thing you consider when bead making?
Aderinsola: I always ensure beads I make for my clients are long lasting.

Qeturah: What makes you different?
Aderinsola: Most of my clients (especially brides) want custom-made jewelry, they usually have an idea of what they want so I always hear them out and never impose my designs on them. I listen to them and give suggestions before I start even string the beads.

Qeturah: What has your experience been selling on Qeturah?
Aderinsola: I encourage my peers (fellow creative entrepreneurs) to take advantage of this platform.

If you don’t make any sales just immediately, don’t feel discouraged, be patient. And when you do make sales, always ask for feedback, its the only positive way to grow.

Qeturah: Any words of encouragement to fellow/aspiring entrepreneurs?
Aderinsola: Be determined and duty-bound, trust in God always. Your background is not a reason for your failure, don’t let your background kick you back on the ground.
