We are about halfway through the Qtum Galaxy Full Nodes Incentive Program, but the glass is way more than half full, with over 400 awards left to give out. Last Friday saw the first batch of the weekly Stellar Awards, Lucky Star Awards (~12 a day) are a little over halfway through, and all the Planet Awards and Satellite Awards remain to be claimed after the program ends on January 5th.

There is still plenty of time to join and refer your friends. Get more information and sign up at https://galaxy.qtum.org/zh

Program Update

Here is an update on the Program so far.

The global Qtum node count is around 2,850, with about 900 new nodes in the past two weeks. Of these some 79% are Qtum Core version 0.18.2, needed for the Program.

Questions and Answers

Qtum Galaxy is a great opportunity for people to learn how to run a Qtum Full Node (no QTUM coins required). Here are some of question from the community this week.

Q1. How do I run a Qtum node, and are there master nodes in Qtum?

A1. There are no masternodes in Qtum. Anyone can install a node and stake. You can download the wallet (node) from https://qtumeco.io/wallet. For the Qtum Galaxy Program, no QTUM are required, just install a node and register for the program at https://galaxy.qtum.org.

Q2. My wallet is already staking, what are the advantages of joining the Qtum Galaxy Program?

A2. The chance to “supersize” your block rewards because the Qtum Galaxy program is giving out 6,000 QTUM in prizes.

Q3. How does the 5.0 QTUM Lucky Star reward work?

A3. It works great! About every two hours, one valid node (registered and online) is chosen and 5.0 QTUM is sent to their prize address. See the latest results at https://galaxy.qtum.org/luckydraw, and as of December 19, there are about 165 Lucky Star prizes to go.
