The world’s leading festival of AI and emerging technology, CogX, returns to London for a third consecutive year next week — and QuantumBlack are proud to feature in 2019’s programme of speakers and exhibitions.

Coinciding with London Tech Week, CogX 2019 will run from Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th June, welcoming fifteen thousand advanced analytics practitioners, global corporations and government representatives to Kings Cross to discuss and debate how AI should be deployed ethically across business and public life.

The QuantumBlack pavilion will run throughout CogX as part of The Research Green Zone. Stop by and immerse yourself in a self-guided tour of AI’s evolution over the last decade, alongside how QuantumBlack has grown from our origins in Formula 1 to a global business powering change for industries as diverse as financial services, mining and pharmaceuticals. We’ll also be serving coffee from Tech City’s premier café, Grind!

From midday on Monday you’ll be able to catch the first QuantumBlack speaker on the Lab to Live Stage, where our CEO Jeremy Palmer will discuss the merits of an AI partner ecosystem. Jeremy will be joined by HSBC’s Head of Transformation Chuck Teixeira, alongside Kortical COO Barbara Johnson, Yves Lostanlen from Element AI and Glenn Smith, COO and Head of Product for CognitionX.

On Tuesday we have co-founder Jacomo Corbo moderating a panel discussion about Innovating at Scale on the Innovation, Investment & the Economy Stage at 12.50 pm to 1.30pm. He will be joined by Charles Radclyffe, Head of AI, Fidelity International, Joanne Hannaford, Global Head of Tech, Goldman Sachs and Foteini Agrafioti, Head, Borealis AI and Chief Science Officer, RBC.

From 2.30pm, QuantumBlack’s Europe Chief Operating Officer Helen Mayhew can be found on the same stage for a panel focusing on Cross-European Collaboration on AI. Helen will discuss best practice and learnings from research alongside a distinguished panel, including Education Outcomes Fund CEO Amel Karboul, Helsinki Institute for Information Technology Director Petri Myllymäki and Dr Rannia Leontaridi, Head of The Office for Artificial Intelligence.

At 3.30pm Dame Vivian Hunt, McKinsey & Company’s Managing Partner UK & Ireland, will discuss the findings of the UK Treasury-commissioned Review on Female Entrepreneurship. Published in collaboration with McKinsey, the report reveals the stark contrast between the numbers of men and women launching their own companies, and Vivian will join the Review’s author Alison Rose on CogX’s Impact Stage to discuss challenges facing female entrepreneurs and opportunities to address the imbalance.

Also at 3.30pm Ashley van Heteren from McKinsey will be a panellist for the ‘2030 Vision: Can Data Science Improve Lives of the Disadvantaged’ session. Taking place at the Future of Work and Education Stage she will be joined by Tariq Khokhar, Chief Data Scientist and MD, Rockefeller Foundation and Victoria Coleman, CEO, Atlas.AI.
