Spirituality and Science don’t typically go hand in hand, but recent research is showing us that they may be connected. Quantum Mysticism, Quantum Consciousness are all the latest terms coined by pioneers in the field.

Spirituality, Consciousness and the Overlap

When one thinks of spirituality, the last thing that comes to mind is science or physics. Spirituality is typically associated with the meta physical, or pertaining to an object’s being, existence and overall purpose. I would argue that both Spirituality and Consciousness are two sides of the same coin; to be conscious is to understand the grim realization that this existence is only temporary and that we are to make the most of it. A sense of purpose and the conscious realization of said purpose are part of the fundamental make up of one’s spirit.

Many (and arguably most) people find their spirituality through religion. Because spirituality is so profound and impossible to describe in words alone, religion provides a great starting point to help express these otherwise inexplicable emotions. Proxies such as works of scripture, idols, gods and parables provide a common framework for most people to agree on what spirituality means to them. I must also add the caveat that not all religious people are spiritual, in fact, some of the most horrific atrocities in human history were committed in the name of religion.
