Wallet setup / Obtaining of testnet token
Install Metamask wallet on your PC or mobile.
Metamask is installed as an addon to your PC browser. (Make sure you install Metamask only from the official Metamask website).
Open and login to your Metamask, create a new wallet or import your existing wallet.
(never share your secret phase or keys, and don’t forget to back them up)
For the testers you can choose to participate in the Binance smart chain Testnet, Polygon chain Testnet or both.
For Binance Smart Chain
Add Binance Smart Chain Testnet network to Metamask by following the procedures below:
- Fill the fields with the following data and Click ‘Save”.

. New RPC URL: https://data-seed-prebsc-1-s1.binance.org:8545/
. Chain ID: 97
. Symbol: BNB
. Block Explorer URL: https://testnet.bscscan.com
Binance Testnet Faucet : https://testnet.binance.org/faucet-smart
For Polygon (Mumbai Testnet)
· Network Name: Mumbai
· New RPC URL: https://matic-mumbai.chainstacklabs.com/
· Chain ID: 80001
· Currency Symbol: MATIC
· Block Explorer URL: https://explorer-mumbai.maticvigil.com/
Click “Save” and it’s completed.
1. Receive Matic testnet tokens
Polygon faucet: https://faucet.polygon.technology/
Alternative Way to Connect to the Mumbai Testnet or Binance Smart Chain Testnet
Step 1: Visit https://chainlist.org/
Step 2: Search for “Mumbai” or “Binance Smart Chain Testnet” using the search bar located at the top.
Step 3: Click on “Add To Metamask” and you’re good to go
Note: to avoid confusion Polygon testnet network is called “Mumbai” and the token is called “Matic” .
Now you are good to go.
