Stoll was speaking long before America’s leading criminal “satire” case made it clear that, when necessary, we have real solutions to some of these problems. Surely no one here would dare to defend the “First Amendment dissent” of a single, isolated judge? The silence of the so-called free-speech community (ha-ha-ha) on this matter, and indeed of the “informed, responsible citizens” who like to kibbitz about “where the Internet is going” and so on and so forth, is highly significant.
