In the the New Testament this is referred to as the “first and greatest commandment”. Jesus quotes or paraphrases Moses in three other verses in the Gospels. These verses use the same phrase “love the Lord your God with all your heart”: Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30 and “love the Lord your God with all your heart”, Luke 10:27.
