My First Adobo
Yes, finally I’ve cooked “totoong ulam” XD
Just what the title says today I’ve cooked my very first adobo (chicken + tofu). Sorry you guys if I make this such a BIG deal, because it is for ME! Haha. Puro prito, instant something, nilaga lang kasi ang kaya ko iluto. *Nilaga, as in nilagang itlog*
Dahil sawa na ako sa kakaprito ng tokwa, I’ve decided to search for a recipe for adobo. Note: Lately I’ve been into tofu as in every meal gusto ko may tokwa, at puro prito lang ginagawa ko. Then naisip ko na iupgrade naman yong pagkain ko kaya ayon adobo.
It was supposed to be pork because that’s the usual thing to do, tokwa’t baboy, but then I’ve decided to cut my pork consumption (if not remove it completely from my diet) and so I chose chicken as an alternative, because what else could I use? Haha.
I just Googled the recipe. I chose the one na hindi masyadong maarte ang recipe. May nakita kasi akong ibang recipes na sobrang bongga naman, ayoko non, matagal gawin tsaka for sure mahal na magagastos ko. At isa pa simpleng adobo lang naman talaga ang aim ko.
I will not go into the details here on how I’ve done it, basta nailuto ko naman. And take note, nasarapan ako. O baka biased ako? XD
Seriously, I think it was okay. Well more than okay, I was very satisfied with the final result. Maybe because it was due to the fact that I was really preparing for the worst, in short, I had very low expectations. So when it turned out fine I was very happy.
Some of my fears were: baka walang lasa, baka sobrang alat, baka mixture sya ng kung anu-anong lasa. Haha. At wala sya dyan sa mga fear ko, thank God!
I just followed the recipe. Hindi ko rin pala tinikman habang niluluto ko. Kasi naman hindi kaaya-aya ang itsura nya, basta hindi ko talaga masikmura na tikman. Magiging problema ko ata ito sa pagluluto. Gusto ko kasi tikman kapag mukhang ulam na talaga sya a.k.a. kapag luto na (tapos na), na I think very risky. Buti na lang okay yong kanina.
Hopefully this is the start of ME learning how to cook. It’s about time I learn, seriously. XD
