The Coolest Restaurants in London Right Now
As an avid traveller and food and wine connoisseur, I’m continually on the search for the most delectable dishes and drinks. I like to stay up-to-date on latest trends and hottest restaurants around the world, but for this blog I’m going to stay close to home since I currently reside in London. Below is a collection of four coolest restaurants I’ve discovered in London, ranging from intimate and homelike to the luxury and extravagant.
ANTIPODEA, 9 STATION APPROACH, KEW, LONDON, TW9 3QB
This Australian brasserie hits two birds with one stone: it serves as a quaint cafe during the day and a busy dining spot at night. Their day menu lists an extensive breakfast and lunch menu and a wide variety of coffees, teas, juices and smoothies, while their evening menu features plenty of wines and spirits. And let’s not forget about the food, of course! Antipodea’s dinner menu includes many flavors of pizza, plenty of sides and main courses. It’s hard to get a table at Antipodea, so I recommend you book a table.
KRICKET, 12 DENMAN STREET, LONDON, W1D 7HH AND 49 BRIXTON STATION ROAD, LONDON, SW9 8PQ
Originally founded in a shipping container in Brixton only suitable to seat 20 people, Kricket offers small plates of seasonal, authentic Indian food with a British twist. Now with their permanent location in London, the restaurant features two floors, a cocktail area and communal tables for large parties. The restaurant still focuses on coziness, so reservations are needed for tables of four or more.
