The Congressional Budget Office estimated that under the current health care law the federal government would spend about $4.62 trillion dollars on Medicaid from 2018–2026 (https://www.cbo.gov/sites/default/files/recurringdata/51301-2016-03-medicaid.pdf)

Under the Senate bill discussed in this article, the CBO estimated that total Medicaid spending would be about $770 billion less. So it cut Medicaid spending by $770 billion over the next decade.
