Thank you for the great piece! I agree with your outlook on pretty much everything, actually.

It really interests me because I am a multi-talented artist, and working a regular job definitely gets in the way of my desired level of creativity. Don’t get me wrong — I make it a point to do a good job, and uphold a strong work ethic. There’s just so much more I want to offer.

So naturally, I started taking steps toward freelancing. But there’s always been this subtle, intuitive feeling, telling me that I know it’s not what I really want to be doing.

Your experience as (what most would consider) a successful freelancer is just confirming what I already know, deep down.

I’ve made the switch, and instead decided to start a publication here on Medium. I intend to look into some sort of crowdfunding — such as Patreon — once I have a significant readership. All the while, I’ll be looking for other, less life-controlling sources of additional income.

Thanks for giving us all some encouragement to follow our real dreams and be true to ourselves.

So often we end up in an undesirable place for most of our lives simply out of a need for financial stability.

We can all thrive, do what we love, and — as a consequence — share our true light and talent with the world.
