The R_Block team

R_Block is a decentralized anonymous careers network, powered by a blockchain based referencing dApp. We believe in the world of Web3.0 everybody will be rewarded for sharing their time and data. We’re tackling prejudice, data abuse and centralisation in hiring.

With a background in innovative blockchain products and recruitment, we bring specialist skills, technology research and years of experience to our career profiling network. Our three co-founders are Luke Shipley, Peter Brooke, and Charlotte Hall. We’re working with a team of talented technologists, developers and blockchain advisors to help us revolutionise references. Everyone working on R_Block has helped us to define our core values of inclusion, trust, and transparency.

Luke Shipley

A developer with a recruitment background who has built teams at Google, Ebay, UBS crypto lab, and Aventus. Luke has grown 3 startups as a driven entrepreneur and runs the largest non-profit Javascript group in the UK.

“I have been very close to the problems we’re tackling all of my working life. So I’m really passionate about solving them. I can’t wait to launch the network later this year, when we’ll start to see R_Block really making an impact and helping people”.

Peter Brooke

Peter is an experienced CTO and technology consultant who has delivered innovations in blockchain, finance and IOT produces. He has a background in building agile and scalable marketplaces across the world.

“I immediately totally understood and connected with the frustrations in recruitment, I liked Luke and bought into his vision. It’s going to be a lot of fun building out the product and trying to enable the identity vision that we have. I’m also excited about watching REED go into liquidation!”

Charlotte Hall

With global marketing and fintech expertise, Charlotte is always one step ahead and helped global companies to think outside the box. She has successfully scaled up a start-up with Luke and has real creative flair.

Our team and advisors are all experts in their fields and thought leaders in their industries, such as Alexandra Kelly who founded and scaled her own referencing company, and Joon Sang-Lee who’s the founder of the UCL blockchain society. Joon commented:
