Brilliant read. I honestly gave up with several major news organisations that couldn’t move past there fragmented and single viewed management. My way out was creating interactive documentaries and online tools for NGO’s. Although there were a different set of obligations and challenges there was suddenly the freedom to manage a project in the best way possible without having to go through the impossibility of restructuring hierarchy or convincing editors to change the way they work.
