Habitat and Hunter Douglas Celebrate 25 Years of Partnership

Based in Virginia, Ralph Beck works as an investor with JETR holding, strategically identifying promising investment opportunities. Apart from his work, Ralph Beck works with a number of local nonprofit groups, including Habitat for Humanity, which strives to provide residents in Virginia and nationwide with access to affordable housing.

For the past 25 years, Hunter Douglas has partnered with Habitat for Humanity in its home building efforts. On all Habitat builds and renovations, Hunter Douglas specifically helps by donating privacy blinds so that the new homeowners can have window treatments ready when they walk in the door. All told, the company has given Habitat more than 9,000 sets of blinds since the partnership began.

However, Hunter Douglas doesn’t just provide blinds. Throughout the years, the company has taken a hands-on approach as well. Just this year, the company worked with former President Jimmy Carter to help build homes in three different Canadian provinces. The partnership is one of the longest in Habitat’s history and is sure to be strong for years to come.
