Aunt Juel

The most exciting news came today,

She was truly one of a kind. She ran a beauty salon, rode four wheelers and dirt bikes into her seventies, and would throw huge family reunions at her cabin by the creek (pronounced “crick”). You never left her house without a “care package”. Care packages were a bag or two of food items. We didn’t need it, but that didn’t matter. She helped everyone. During a time when hobos were more of a thing, she would let them stay at her house.

Her grandson gave me permission to be in her house and see her collection of family photos and letters.
