Too Long; Couldn’t Tweet: Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” will be the #1 group Halloween costume this year

Twitter is wonderful. In fact, you should follow Random Nerds on there. However, we find the 140 character limit a bit, well, limiting sometimes when it comes to our ‘Cool thought, but there isn’t a whole article here’ ideas.

Too Long; Couldn’t Tweet is where we will share those 141+ character thoughts stuck in limbo between tweet and post.

Ever since Charles wrote that wonderful piece on Taylor Swift’s #personalbrand and the music video for her song “Bad Blood”, I have had that annoyingly catchy chorus stuck in my head. I also happen to love Halloween. It was only a matter of time before the two thoughts intersected in my brain, but now that they have, I feel compelled to throw this prediction out onto to the world before anyone else beats me to it.

Think about it. A good group halloween costume involves…

A: looking hot

B: seeming clever and/or ‘hip’

C: having enough options for all your frenemies to join in (obviously as the worst characters though, duh).

Does anything else satisfy that criteria like “Bad Blood”?

Finally, after almost 20 years, we get to upgrade the question of “Which Spice Girl are you?” to the more culturally relevant (yet still soul-crushingly pigeonholing) question of “Which ‘Bad Blood’ girl are you?”.

Are you the kind that likes to get their hands dirty, like Karlie Kloss’ Knockout?

Or do you like a little more firepower, a la Ellie Goulding’s Destructa X?

Maybe you’re more the snarky, stoner type…

Or maybe you’re, ya know, the Scary Spice of the group…

When it comes to the “Bad Blood” group Halloween costume, there’s room for everyone!

And you can bet once the crisp fall air comes a sweepin’ in, you’re going to see a lot of sorority girls fighting over which one gets to be Kill Bill snow bunny Taylor Swift (as she is obviously the best).

Careful not to get too close though, as I’ve heard from multiple sources that band-aids don’t fix bullet holes.
